Frieza is the ruthless leader of an intergalactic empire that buys and sells planets. He is responsible for the destruction of the home planet of the Saiyans, from which Goku and Vegeta, two of the main characters of the series, originated.
Frieza is particularly known for his great power and cruelty. He possesses incredible powers, including the ability to destroy entire planets. Also, Frieza has the unique ability to transform into several different forms, each one more powerful than the last. Its final form is the best known.
The fight between Goku and Frieza on the planet Namek is one of the most significant moments of "Dragon Ball Z".
