On November 16, 1920, the two veteran World War I pilots, Paul McGinness and Hudson Fysh, founded Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Limited, or in short: Qantas.
In 100 years, the airline has gone from humble beginnings with a fast 105 km / h biplane that can accommodate two passengers to today's global operation with the Airbus A380 as its flagship and the ability to carry nearly 500 passengers at a cruising speed of 900 km.
