The Ford Escort Mk.2 marketed from 1975 marked an important evolution compared to the Escort Mk.1, presented at the Brussels Motor Show in 1968. It retained the very reliable mechanics of the previous version but its design completely revised met the aesthetic expectations of the 70s. In addition to the current versions, there was the Sport version characterized by a more aggressive look and with a distinctly sporty interior. The RS 1800 version with a 115 hp twin camshaft engine formed the basis for the version entered in rallies and which obtained significant results. The iconic Team Zakspeed developed and used a dedicated version of the Escort Mk 2 between 1977 and 1978.

Scale : 1:24
The 1:24 scale is mainly used for models of cars, motorcycles and aircraft. It allows a high level of detail. For example, a motorcycle model in the 1:24 scale will measure 4 inches / 10.4 cm if the original motorcycle measures 2.5m in length (250/24 = 10.41). A plane in the 1:24 scale will measure 1 foot 6 inches / 45cm in length if the aircraft model is 11m long (1100-1124 = 45.8).
