Tool Nissan Fairlady 280Z T-Bar Roof
In August 1978, the second generation of Fairlady Z (S130) was announced: the 200Z with a 2-liter engine and the 280Z with a 2.8-liter engine. In 1980, the Fairlady 280Z appeared with “T-Bar Roof”, a T-roof whose reinforced glass sections could be removed leaving only a T-frame.
Tamiya has reissued the kit for this very special version of the Fairlady.
• Model to assemble scale 1/24. Length: 188mm, width: 76mm, height: 54mm.
• Body molded in white (originally black) capturing the particular shapes of the body.
• Transparent parts reproducing the glass roof panels.
• Detachable engine cover (cut out).
• Realistic reproductions of the engine and interior.
• Chrome parts for wheels, headlights and front and rear bumpers.
• Decals for bodywork threads, dashboard, rear quarter panel and roof window surrounds.
• Adhesive masks for easy two-tone painting.

The 1:24 scale is mainly used for models of cars, motorcycles and aircraft. It allows a high level of detail. For example, a motorcycle model in the 1:24 scale will measure 4 inches / 10.4 cm if the original motorcycle measures 2.5m in length (250/24 = 10.41). A plane in the 1:24 scale will measure 1 foot 6 inches / 45cm in length if the aircraft model is 11m long (1100-1124 = 45.8).
