Product description : AW101 Merlin HM.1
The AW101 Merlin is a medium-heavy multi-role helicopter developed by AgustaWestland (now Leonardo) in collaboration with Westland Helicopters. It was designed and developed at the request of the British Royal Navy and the Italian Navy to replace the now obsolete SH-3D Sea Kings. Entering service in the early 2000s, it primarily serves as a ship-based anti-submarine warfare helicopter. However, thanks to its operational flexibility, it can perform troop transport, maritime search and rescue, and CSAR combat missions. It can operate in extreme weather conditions and in all operational environments. Thanks to its three turbines, the Merlin reaches a maximum speed of 310 km/h and has an operational range of over 1,350 km..
