Product description : F-5A Freedom Fighter
During the 1950s, the American company Northrop set out to develop a simple and inexpensive fighter, capable of equipping NATO countries. The resulting F-5 was a lightweight, compact, but extremely manoeuvrable single-seater. Easy to produce and relatively inexpensive, it was characterized by high operational efficiency. The first versions produced by Northrop, called F-5A "Freedom Fighter" were able to reach a maximum speed of 1,700km/h thanks to two General Electric J85-GE-13 engines. It was armed with two 20mm cannons installed in the nose. The F-5 was a true "multi-role" aircraft as it could carry an offensive load for both air defense and ground attack missions. Its versatility ensured its rapid diffusion and use by many air forces.Decals for Netherlands, Norway, Spain, South Vietnam, Canada and Venezuela.

The 1:72 scale is ideal for model planes, military models and figurines. This means that the model is 72 times smaller than the actual object. For example, a model 1:72 scale airplane measures8 inches / 20cm in length if the real object measures 14.4 m (1440 cm). The figurines in the 1:72 scale measure about 1 inch / 2.5cm high.
