Product description : Pak 97/38 and Servants
The PaK 97/38 was a German anti-tank gun used during World War II. It was developed based on the famous French 75mm canon modèle 1897. Many examples were indeed captured after the invasion of France and proved to be an effective, fast and relatively cheap solution to equip German anti-tank troops with a weapon more powerful than the obsolete 37mm Pak 36, now incapable of penetrating the armor of the most modern and robust Soviet tanks like the KV-1 and the T-34. It could use a fairly wide variety of ammunition and also equipped many anti-tank units of other Axis countries allied with Germany. Its operational performance was later surpassed by that of the more modern and more effective 75mm Pak 40. Length of the completed model: 13.3cm.
