The Dakota Mk. III, known in the United States as the C-47 Skytrain, is one of the most iconic military transport aircraft in history. Designed by Douglas Aircraft Company, this aircraft was extensively used during World War II for troop transport, cargo delivery, and paratrooper drops. With over 10,000 units produced, the Dakota played a key role in Allied operations, including the D-Day landings in Normandy in 1944.
