Product description : Bergetiger
When they captured a Tiger I modified for front-line technical and logistical support of armored formations, the Allied forces gave it the name "Bergetiger", in analogy with similar vehicles developed from the Panther and Panzer IV tanks. It was essentially a Tiger I, identical in chassis and tracks, and especially with the same heavy armor, but lacking its main gun and equipped with a crane suitable for towing other tanks as well as lifting heavy loads such as engines. It was also provided with spare parts, equipment for the repair of other armored vehicles and reserve ammunition. There are no official statistics but it is believed that several examples of "Bergetiger" were produced directly on the front by the Wehrmacht field workshops. • Length of the finished model: 18.0 cm Rubber or injected plastic tracks (sections and pads independent)..
