After the Char B1 bis (35282), the Somua S35 (35344) and the R35 (35373) it is the turn of the Hotchkiss H39 to enter the Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniatures series. This means that the main French tanks of the Second World War are now sumptuously reproduced at this scale by Tamiya! Before the Second World War in 1935, the French army had developed the H35 for cavalry units (light tanks) and in 1939 the improved version H39 appeared. With improved castings such as the hull and turret, the H39 was equipped with a 120hp engine and a 37mm L/33 gun. It was in service during the German occupation of Norway in 1940. After the French surrender, German forces recovered and "Germanized" many H39 tanks, which they deployed in various theaters of operation until the end of the conflict.• 1/35 scale model to assemble and paint. Length: 138mm, width: 56mm.• Kit based on the in-depth study of the real tank.• Compact and rounded shapes of the Hotchkiss H39 perfectly captured.• The complex turret is realistic and easy to assemble thanks to parts from drawer molds.• Injected plastic tracks made up of complete sections and independent pads. Realistic sagging effect (sagging of the upper section of the track between the return rollers).• Optional trench crossing tail included.• Two assembly possibilities: French 1940 or German version. Episcopes, turret cupola, engine grille, tensioner wheels, suspension bogies and antenna base specific to each version included. • A standing French tanker figurine and a German tanker (upper body – installed in turret) included. • Metal chains included for the French version. • Decals for a French H39 in 1940 and a German (Panzerkampfwagen 38H (f)) in 1945.
