The One Ring: The Initiation Box, contains everything you need to discover this role-playing game, take your first steps in Middle-earth and participate in the adventures of the Hobbits.This is a curious invitation from from cousin Bilbo. It's strange ! But that said, many strange things have been happening around this Hobbit since this affair with the Dragon. So there's nothing wrong with taking a little walk to help out good old Bilbo!
Through this box, players will be initiated through simplified rules and pre-made characters that get them started quickly in the adventure. The setting is set after Bilbo's journey (in The Hobbit novel) and before the events of Lord of the Rings. This is the opportunity to explore the Shire in the shoes of some of the Hobbits - Drogon Baggins, Rory Brandybuck and Esmeralda Took, for example, whose children will later accomplish extraordinary feats.
This box contains: a 24-page booklet presenting the condensed rules; a collection of 52 pages detailing the four districts of the County, from Verte-Île in the west to Pays de Bouc and the Vieille Forêt in the east; a 32-page booklet containing five thrilling, ready-to-play adventures; eight double-sided preprinted character sheets; a large, full-colour, double-sided map of the Shire and Eriador; 30 War Gear cards, featuring weapons and armour; six Role/Position cards, double-sided.
This first edition also contains a set of dice: two 12-sided Fate dice and ten 6-sided Mastery dice.
