Chosen Ones: Protectors of the Dream is a space-opera / anticipation game set in 3025, with direct influences (heroic-fantasy with presence of magic, cyberpunk, Marvel-style mutants, etc.).
But this multitude of inspirations is at the service of the player.

Indeed, it is a game which makes its richness of inspirations an originality by the fact that it is possible to generate characters with multiple talents; not limited by the traditional “standards” of role-playing games.
We can play mutant characters / cybernetized / magicians / fighters who, if they are not as efficient as a specialist, remain pleasant to play.

The action is set in a universe where four antagonistic government structures reign (the Consortium, the Empire, the Worlds of the Fringe, and the Shadows) in a cold war, and where powerful military forces clash on diplomatic and military grounds.
The characters are members of one of the 22 playable races and practice a profession (close to the traditional "classes" of role-playing games).


In terms of mechanics, this results in the use of two different D10s (Destiny and Fatality), their result added to an ability must reach or exceed a threshold to succeed in an action.

It is a rich and open game that wishes to give freedom to the player too often compartmentalized in classic systems.

The game is presented in the form of a book of over 500 pages.
Four compendiums - excerpts from this book - are intended for players.
