Building model kit Eiffel Tower 1:650
Built for the Universal Exhibition to celebrate the centenary of the French Revolution, the Eiffel Tower was born in 1889.
Its construction lasted two years, from July 1, 1887 to March 31, 1889 (when the flag was placed at the top).
As soon as it was inaugurated, its success was phenomenal, and two million people climbed it.
The life of the Eiffel Tower was not to exceed 20 years. It changed color several times, going from reddish brown to yellow ochre, then to brown and finally to bronze.
It takes 25 painters a year to paint it completely.
