The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 2 is a formidable tank destroyer of the Bundeswehr, designed for anti-tank warfare at a distance using the TOW missile system.With this detailed 1/35 scale plastic kit, Das Werk offers a faithful reproduction of this iconic vehicle, in cooperation with Amusing Hobby.

Modern version of a rare Cold War vehicle
The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 2 was developed in West Germany between 1983 and 1985, based on the conversion of old Kanonenjagdpanzer tank destroyers.
It was equipped with the TOW anti-tank missile system, combined with an AN/TAS night vision device, to counter the growing threat of Soviet armor.
A total of 165 vehicles were produced. Unlike the Jaguar 1, the Jaguar 2 did not have a hull machine gun, but a smoke launcher installed at the front. The last Jaguar 2 was retired from active service in 1999.
Powered by a 500 horsepower MTU 8-cylinder diesel engine, this 24.8-ton vehicle could reach 70 km/h.
Its dimensions: 6.61 m long, 3.12 m wide, 1.98 m high.
