The legal guarantee of conformity, defined by Article 4 of decree n°78-464 of March 24 1978, provides the consumer with 2 years' protection against hidden defects in the product sold, despite any provisions to the contrary mentioned in this document. It should be emphasized that 1001 hobbies is not considered to be the producer of the products presented on its website, in accordance with law no. 98-389 of May 19, 1998 on liability for defective products. Thus, in the event of damage caused by a product defect, only the producer can be held responsible by the consumer, with reference to the information provided on the product packaging. The conditions and duration of the producer's warranty are specified on the product data sheets. Due to the frequent renewal of components for technical products, 1001 hobbies can, on request, inform the consumer of the availability of spare parts and how to obtain them if necessary.

Please note that the warranty only covers damage to the product itself, and not the consequences resulting from the defective product. For the warranty to apply, the product must have been used under normal conditions, i.e. :

- It must not have been subjected to shocks, crashes or any other event likely to cause the fault or defect in question.

- It must not have been dismantled in any way.

- It has only been used with the original components supplied.

Any request for after-sales service will be invoiced if the product's failure is attributable to normal wear and tear, negligence, improper handling or use, or lack of maintenance on the part of the owner. The cost of returning the product to the after-sales service is borne by the customer.

Before initiating any warranty procedure, the customer must first inform Customer Service by providing the completed after-sales service certificate sent by Customer Service, the invoice for the order, as well as photos and detailed explanations of the problem encountered. Please note that incomplete claims or claims submitted after 30 days will not be processed by Customer Service. Once Customer Service has confirmed that the after-sales service request is valid, the customer will receive instructions on how to return the product to the supplier. It is the customer's responsibility to send the supplier a clean and well-packaged product, in which case the supplier may refuse to accept the warranty. Once the supplier has received the product, it will carry out a thorough evaluation to determine whether it is possible to repair or replace the product in question. Based on the findings of the evaluation, the supplier will take the appropriate steps to resolve the problem encountered by the customer.

In addition, the time taken to process the after-sales service request may vary depending on the nature of the problem and the supplier's specific policies.

No refund will be made on a product under warranty without the agreement of our supplier. 

In addition, some examples of parts excluded from the warranty are :

- Wear parts such as tires, engine, pull starter, differential, pinion, crown, etc.

- Any modification of the product that does not comply with the manufacturer's or seller's recommendations.

- Problems resulting from improper use of the equipment, such as inappropriate adjustments, negligent maintenance or improper use.

- Breakage of equipment, such as the motor, starting system, servomotors, etc.

- Non-compliance with the manufacturer's or vendor's operating instructions.

- Loss of a part due to the loosening of a component.

- Batteries (accumulators) are only guaranteed for the first use.

The manufacturer or distributor of the part in question is responsible for deciding whether or not to grant the warranty. Consequently, the part must be returned to the manufacturer or distributor, who must justify its decision. The company declines all responsibility for this decision.

Any alteration of the original connectors requiring soldering will automatically invalidate any warranty.

LiPo-Life battery liability disclaimer:

1001 Hobbies accepts no liability for any consequences arising from the use of Li-ion or Li-Polymer batteries. These batteries must be used in accordance with strict instructions to prevent damage to the product and its environment. 1001 Hobbies cannot guarantee that the consumer will comply with the intensities, charging and discharging capacities, cycles, storage requirements and safety precautions for the use of these batteries in model-making applications. In the model-building field, discharge may exceed the limits specified by the manufacturer for the cells making up the battery, especially in the event of misuse or incorrect setting of the battery by a charger or controller. Consequently, the use of lithium-ion/polymer batteries for model-building activities should be regarded as experimental. No warranty, express or implied, is provided by manufacturers, distributors, resellers or retailers regarding capacity, life, storage or discharge characteristics for application in radio-controlled model making or other fields of use. By accepting this limitation of liability clause, the user assumes full responsibility for the consequences of the use of lithium-polymer batteries and agrees not to hold manufacturers, distributors, resellers or retailers liable for any accident, injury, death or property damage resulting from such use. 1001 Hobbies is hereby released from all liability concerning the use of lithium-polymer batteries, including partial or total destruction of a model or battery, damage to the environment and to third parties, and premature ageing of electronic or electrical components. This limitation of liability applies whether the battery was sold with a model or separately.

LiPo-LiFe-NimH battery warranty:

These conditions apply only to the contractual warranty and not to the legal warranties (conformity and latent defect). The battery warranty ceases to be valid as soon as the battery is placed on a charger, used or discharged, as 1001 Hobbies has no way of verifying compliance with the conditions of use. Any intervention on cables or plugs (installation, replacement, soldering) automatically cancels the battery warranty. By purchasing these products, you automatically accept the conditions specified above.
