About the aircraft
The MiG-17F is a Soviet jet fighter developed by the Mikoyan-Gurevich design bureau. An improved version of the MiG-15, it was widely used by the USSR and exported to allied countries, including East Germany. With excellent agility and speed, it became a feared adversary during conflicts of the 1950s and 1960s, notably in Vietnam and the Middle East.
Historical background
Introduced in the early 1950s, the MiG-17 marked a turning point in Soviet fighter design. The Lim-5 version, produced under license in Poland, was used by East German air forces. These jets patrolled European skies during the Cold War, symbolizing the East-West divide.

The kit includes all injection-molded plastic parts to complete the 1:48 aircraft, with a clear canopy, detailed cockpit, and accurate landing gear. Decals are included for Soviet and East German liveries.
