ArmorFX Zimmerit Paste is a fast-drying acrylic paste specially formulated to realistically reproduce the Zimmerit anti-magnetic coating used on German armored vehicles between 1943 and 1944. Designed by AMMO by Mig Jiménez, this innovative paste makes it easy to apply authentic textures to scale models, with a faithful finish.
It can be used with the Zimmerit Applicator Tools (A.MIG-8583) to achieve different patterns such as ridges, grids or chevrons. Its water-based formula is non-toxic, easy to clean, and ideal for realistic chipping and weathering effects.

Zimmerit was introduced in August 1943 by Germany to protect tanks against magnetic mines placed by the infantry. It was applied in a thick, textured layer on the armor of many vehicles (Tiger, Panther, StuG, etc.). This coating gave a very characteristic striated or checkered appearance. Banned in September 1944 for logistical reasons, it remains an emblematic element of German armored vehicles at the end of the war.
Accurately reproducing this texture is a challenge in modeling. Thanks to this paste, you can finally imitate historical patterns with great realism while benefiting from an easy-to-use material.

Instructions for use
Clean and prepare the surface of the model
Apply an even layer of paste (approx. 0.7 mm for 1/35)
Use the A.MIG-8583 tools to create the desired pattern (streaks, chevrons, etc.)
Allow to dry completely before paint or varnish
