Willow is a 1988 fantasy adventure film directed by Ron Howard and produced by George Lucas. It follows the story of a small farmer called Willow Ufgood who is chosen to protect a baby, Elora Danan, who is destined to save the kingdom from the cruel Queen Bavmorda. Accompanied by some unexpected allies, including the Brownies, Madmartigan and Bavmorda's daughter Sorsha, Willow must travel through dangerous lands to find a way to defeat the queen and save the baby.
The film was acclaimed for its groundbreaking special effects and gripping story for its time. It was also considered a major influence on many later fantasy role-playing games and video games. A TV series based on the film, entitled Willow, was broadcast in 2022-2023 on Disney+.
