Ship model Russian Navy Typhoon Class Submarine
The Typhoon-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine is by far the largest submarine in the world and one of the most intimidating weapons of the Cold War.
Its design includes features that allow it to sail under ice and break through ice.
Each submarine can carry 20 long-range ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.
These missiles have a range of nearly 10,000 kilometers and were once aimed at the United States.
The first submarine of this class was commissioned in 1980 and joined the North Sea fleet in December 1981.
Six Typhoon-class submarines were commissioned between 1981 and 1989.

The 1:700 scale is mainly used for model ships (battleships, aircraft carriers, etc.).
A large boat that measures 300m long at full size, will be 1 foot 5 inches / 42,8cm in the scaled model (300/700 = 0.428).
