The Henschel Hs 129 was an armored ground attack aircraft designed to support German ground forces. The B-3 version, developed in response to the emergence of heavily armored Soviet tanks such as the KV-1 or the T-34, was equipped with an impressive 75 mm PaK 40 gun, mounted under the fuselage.
This gun made the Hs 129 B-3 one of the few aircraft capable of destroying heavy armor in low flight, but at the cost of increased weight and reduced performance. Produced in very limited numbers, this model represents a rare and fascinating piece of World War II aviation.
