Military model AMX-30 B2 Brennus Main Battle Tank

The AMX-30 B2 is part of the second generation main battle tank that equipped the French Army for more than 30 years.
Approximately 3,500 of this second-generation tank were built, including more than 1,100 derived versions from 1966 onwards (half of which were exported).
Its chassis was used to develop other armoured systems such as the AMX-30D recovery tank or the Pluton missile carrier.

The AMX-30 B2 assembly is made of cast and wrought steel.
Its turret is cast in one piece.
The crew is composed of four men.
The pilot sits at the front left of the chassis and the other three crew members (the tank commander and gunner on the right, the loader on the left) are installed in the turret.

Its main armament is a 105 mm GIAT CN-105 F1 rifled gun, operated by the gunner or the tank commander (who has priority command), and the optical telemetry is operated by the tank commander who defines the target, calculates the distance and transmits the information verbally to the gunner.
The AMX-30B is recognizable from the AMX-30B2 by the rangefinder optics on either side of the turret.
In the early 1980s, approximately 1,210 AMX-30s were fielded along with 1,010 AMX-13s.
As of January 1, 1989, a total of 1,258 AMX-30 tanks were in service with the French Army.

The secondary armament of the AMX-30 B is a 20 mm coaxial automatic gun, replacing the original 12.7 mm machine gun.
Like other armoured vehicles, it can be equipped with a schnorchel to cross waterways.
It was upgraded to the AMX-30B2 (gun, fire control, laser rangefinder, suspension, power train, thermal camera).
The AMX-30B2, with its automated fire control (COTAC) and laser rangefinder, is physically different from the AMX-30B by the absence of the rangefinder optics on either side of the turret and by the presence of a protrusion containing the chief scope at the top of the turret, above the gunner.

Figurines in the 1:35 scale are about 2 inches / 5 cm high.
