The Greyhound was a frigate of 20 guns designed by Stacey, launched Ie Deptford shipyard on February 13 of 1720.

I'an little is known of its maritime history, it appears with other strong boats like it was used in the Mediterranean to fight the pirates who infested its coasts.

The results were disappointing because the agile pirate ships and equipped with 4 to 6 guns at the bow, could face face frigates and took over.

The period from 1600 to 1700 marks the end of this type of boats, further characterized by two rows of oars placed under the gun batteries, used in maneuvers at low speed or in the absence of wind.

Like other ships of the same period, the Greyhound was very elegant, with beautiful finishes and soberly decorated.

The reconstruction I'échelle 1: 100 is the result of research through engravings, books, models exhibited in museums; the result is a boat that illustrates the history of the period to which it belongs.
