AEC Regent V, Ipswich Corporation, X Ipswich Station
Ipswich Corporation began operating trams back in 1903 and continued to do so until 1923 when trams were replaced with trolleybuses, with buses being introduced in the area in 1950.
In 1986, to comply with the Transport Act 1985 the assets of Ipswich Corporation were transferred to what is now known as Ipswich Buses.
Built by the Associated Equipment Company between 1954 and 1969 – when the last of them entered serviced, the Regent V was a front-engined double decker bus and was used extensively by bus companies around Britain at the time including by Ipswich Corporation.
Scale : 1:76
The 1:76 scale is ideal for military models and figurines.
This means that the model is 76 times smaller than the actual object.
For example, a tank model in the 1:76 scale will measure 6.5 inches in length if the real object is 5 m (500 cm).
The figures in the 1:76 scale measure about 1 inch / 2.3 cm.
The 1:76 scale is compatible with the 1:72 scale.
