Flying Tigers Curtiss P40B/ C Hawk-81A2 1:144 Model kit

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engine, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938.

The Flying Tigers, officially known as the 1st American Volunteer Group (AVG), were a unit of the Chinese Air Force recruited from US Navy, Marines and Army aviators.

Compared to opposing Japanese fighters, the P-40B's strengths were that it was robust, well-armed, quicker to dive, and had excellent roll speed. While the P-40s could not match the maneuverability of the Japanese Army Air Force's Nakajima Ki-27 or Ki-43 in slow, turning dogfights, nor the much more famous Zero naval fighters, at higher speeds the P-40s were more as an equal.
